About The Position

Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is hiring an RN Clinical Manager for the Operating Room at an acute care hospital in Houston, Texas. This role provides leadership to the Operating Room department, oversees daily operations and departmental staff, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient care. The manager will utilize the nursing process to ensure quality patient care.

Requirements

• Active Texas RN license or compact license REQUIRED
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) REQUIRED
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification REQUIRED
• Minimum 2 years Operating Room acute care experience REQUIRED
• Minimum 3 years current OR management experience REQUIRED (supervisor, assistant manager, clinical manager, or director)
• Must have accurate and updated resume with job history and units
• Must be available for full-time split/evening shift

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of a patient care department
• Ensure adequate staffing and scheduling
• Serve in charge nurse role and provide patient care as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, management, and staff
• Participate in program evaluation and process improvement
• Support continuity of care and patient experience
• Recruit, retain, and develop staff
• Provide performance feedback and participate in evaluations
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and nursing standards
• Oversees RN’s, Techs, and Coordinators
• Responsible for neuro, plastics, ortho, and ENT service lines
• Supports evening, weekend, and night shift staff
