About The Position
Gateway Regional Medical Center is seeking an Operating Room Clinical Coordinator (RN) to help lead and support our Surgical Services team. This position is a great opportunity for a skilled OR nurse who enjoys collaborating with others, improving workflows, and making a meaningful impact on both patient outcomes and team success in a fast-paced perioperative environment.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (RN required)
- Current Illinois RN license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum of 3 years of Operating Room nursing experience required
Nice To Haves
- Prior charge nurse, coordinator, or leadership experience preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
- Coordinating daily workflow and surgical case flow in the Operating Room
- Supporting and supervising OR nursing staff and surgical team members
- Ensuring adherence to clinical best practices, policies, and safety standards
- Collaborating with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams
- Helping resolve real-time operational and patient care needs
- Supporting quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Promoting a culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellence
