About The Position

The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for supporting and leading dedicated nursing staff. The Clinical Coordinator ensures staff assignments provide care that enhances residents' quality of life, collaborates with medical providers, assists with staff development, and oversees clinical operations leading to positive rehabilitation outcomes. The schedule for this position will be Monday-Friday on days with every other weekend required. Pay is commensurate with years of clinical and leadership experience. Generous extra pay for hours worked past 3:00 pm and on weekends.

Requirements

Current RN
A minimum of one (1) year of long term care or acute care experience required
Minimum of one (1) year formal leadership experience in health care required
Current CPR certified required
Excellent communication skills
Willingness to support and lead others to living St. John’s Brand Characteristics
Compliance with NYS Department of Health immunization requirements.

Responsibilities

Responsible for coordination of clinical services for each resident
Oversees the development of individualized care plans
Generates nursing staff assignments, assuring follow through including complete and accurate written and verbal communication to support the care needs of each resident
Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, social and spiritual support to residents, friends, and families
Assists floor nurses with bedside care when needed, performs periodic rounds on floors and assists with Nursing Department audits
