About The Position
Provides professional nursing care for office patients following established standards and procedures. Huntsville Hospital is the region’s primary referral center for advanced and specialty care, home to a specialized Orthopedic & Spine Tower, a Level III Regional Neonatal ICU and North Alabama’s Level I Trauma Center. Together, our three Madison County hospitals have 971 licensed beds and offer career opportunities across a wide range of specialties and care settings.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Possess a current Alabama State Registered Nurses License.
- Current CPR certification.
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice to give and evaluate patient care.
- Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions.
- Skill in writing and maintaining records and reports.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, families, physicians, employees, and staff.
- Ability to communicate clearly.
- Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions in order to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Knowledge of the organization’s policies and procedures.
- Upholds effective work habits including, but not limited to, regular attendance, teamwork, initiative, dependability, and promptness.
