About The Position

This is a benefited, full-time RN position generally working Monday-Friday from 7:30am-4pm. Hours will vary based on need. Located at Scripps clinic Encinitas with possible travel to other sites as needed. Requirements

  • Current California Registered Nurse License.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Ability to successfully prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining a calm and professional approach.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior OB/GYN, Labor & Delivery, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, or high-risk obstetric nursing experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in an ambulatory/clinic setting.
  • Experience caring for high-risk obstetric patients.
  • Experience with Epic electronic medical record (EMR) workflows
  • Experience with non-stress testing (NST).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct and indirect nursing care to high-risk obstetric patients.
  • Perform patient assessments and, in collaboration with Maternal-Fetal Medicine physicians, develop individualized plans of care and provide patient education.
  • Coordinate care, referrals, and communication between patients, providers, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Support medical assistants with medication administration, clinical workflows, and patient care needs.
  • Manage and respond to Epic in-basket messages, including provider, staff, and patient communications.
  • This position supports all Perinatology locations and collaborates with eight Maternal-Fetal Medicine physicians.
