About The Position

Join our team as an Inpatient Occupational Therapist at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas and make an impact in this tight-knit coastal community. This large inter-disciplinary rehab department relies on teamwork to treat a wide variety of diagnoses, from stroke rehab patients to partnering with another specialty therapist for co-treatment, every day presents a new challenge. The Occupational Therapist provides evaluation, assessment, prognosis, treatment and education to patients and clients through a continuum of care according to the therapist's respective licensure/registration/certification, Code of Ethics, Federal/State regulations, JCAHO/UMQC and Care Center policies and procedures. Perform competencies as outlined in Rehabilitation Services Competency Assessment tools and demonstrate age specific care as established for area and job title.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy
  • Current CA OT License or Pending CA OT License (license must be in hand by start.)
  • Current BLS from the American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience as an Occupational Therapist in an acute care hospital environment

Responsibilities
