Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Two years’ nursing experience required; informal or formal supervisory experience a plus.
  • Current RN license to practice nursing in the State of Iowa.
  • Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
  • State of Iowa Mandatory Reporter Certification is required (must be able to obtain within 60 days of hire).

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including rooming patients, obtaining medical information, taking vital signs, assisting with procedures, coordinating testing, medication refills, and patient education.
  • Coordinate patient care, referrals, and communication with providers, patients, pharmacies, and care team members.
  • Support clinic operations by prioritizing workflows, managing schedules, monitoring staffing needs, and assisting with operational goals.
  • Assist with onboarding, training, mentoring, and supervision of clinical staff.
  • Help maintain clinical workflows, policies, documentation standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Serve as a resource for patient concerns, clinical questions, and day-to-day clinic operations.
  • Monitor medical supply inventory and support quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain professional licensure, continuing education, and compliance with safety and infection control standards.
