About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a busy outpatient clinic and ambulatory care setting. The RN will be responsible for patient assessments, medication administration, IV therapy, phlebotomy, patient education, and coordination of care with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical assessment skills, outpatient or medical-surgical nursing experience, pediatric patient care experience, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program required.
  • Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
  • Primary Source Verification of RN License through the New York State Education Department (NYSED).
  • Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
  • AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification required where applicable.
  • Minimum two (2) years of Medical-Surgical or Clinic/Ambulatory Nursing experience required.
  • Pediatric nursing experience required.
  • Strong IV insertion and phlebotomy skills required.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced healthcare environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in an outpatient and ambulatory setting.
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop appropriate nursing interventions.
  • Monitor patient conditions and communicate findings to healthcare providers.
  • Administer medications and evaluate patient responses to treatment.
  • Deliver safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care to pediatric and adult populations.
  • Perform IV insertion and management.
  • Obtain blood specimens through phlebotomy and venipuncture procedures.
  • Assist healthcare providers with examinations, treatments, and clinical procedures.
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after treatments as required.
  • Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatments, procedures, and care plans.
  • Coordinate patient care with physicians, specialists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Facilitate referrals, follow-up appointments, and continuity of care.
  • Support efficient patient flow and clinic operations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical record systems.
  • Ensure compliance with facility policies, patient safety standards, and infection control guidelines.
  • Protect patient confidentiality and adhere to regulatory requirements.
