About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional patient care in a busy outpatient clinic and ambulatory care setting. The RN will be responsible for patient assessments, clinical triage, medication administration, IV therapy, phlebotomy, patient education, and coordination of care with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience working in fast-paced outpatient environments while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program required.
  • Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
  • Primary Source Verification of RN License and Registration through the New York State Education Department.
  • Current AHA BLS Certification required.
  • AHA ACLS Certification required where applicable.
  • Minimum two (2) years of Medical-Surgical and/or Clinic Nursing experience required.
  • Pediatric nursing experience required.
  • IV insertion experience required.
  • Phlebotomy experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and obtain health histories.
  • Conduct clinical triage and prioritize patient care needs.
  • Monitor patient conditions and communicate findings to providers.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and immunizations as prescribed.
  • Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
  • Perform IV insertion and management.
  • Obtain blood specimens through venipuncture and phlebotomy procedures.
  • Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and minor procedures.
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after treatments or procedures as required.
  • Coordinate patient care with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Facilitate referrals, follow-up appointments, and continuity of care.
  • Support efficient patient flow throughout the clinic.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control standards.
  • Adhere to facility policies, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Protect patient confidentiality and maintain HIPAA compliance.
