This is a full-time, 32-hour per week position for a Registered Nurse (RN) in Child Psychiatry, working the night shift. The role involves providing patient services, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards, and supporting leadership in compliance efforts. The RN will monitor safety and departmental policies, fulfill certification requirements, and share best practices. The position requires systems thinking, clinical judgment, and the ability to document care plans and outcomes. The RN will integrate age-specific and culturally inclusive concepts into patient care, facilitate patient and family learning, and engage in clinical inquiry to improve practice. Collaboration with the interdisciplinary team through shared decision-making and adherence to the Interprofessional Practice Model are key aspects of the role. The RN will demonstrate advocacy, moral agency, and respect for inclusion, working on behalf of patients and families, assessing personal values, and making ethical decisions. The role also involves assessing cultural inclusion and its impact on the patient/family experience.
