About The Position

This role involves organizing and providing care to patients through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The RN will act as a team leader, delegating care to other nursing personnel based on their qualifications. This position contributes to the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, serving the community. The role also ensures compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies. Direct patient care will be provided to acute mental health patients, with family support through education and updates.

Requirements

BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing
Current nursing licensure in Minnesota
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month

Nice To Haves

Behavioral health experience as an RN, BHT, or intern/capstone student

Responsibilities

Organizing and providing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
Acting as a team leader and delegating aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions.
Contributing to meeting the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and in turn serving the community.
Meeting the requirements of the Joint Commission as applicable and/or other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.
Providing direct patient care to acute mental health patients as well as supporting the family by providing education and updates.
