About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor, the RN Charge directs, coordinates, and controls the nursing activities of assigned staff. This role assists the Supervisor in evaluating staff and completing assigned projects. The Registered Nurse provides care for a group of patients utilizing the Nursing Process, with assignments appropriate to the age and developmental level of patients served. Responsibilities include maintaining nursing schedules and orienting new employees.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Associate's Degree.
• Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Florida.
• BLS from the American Heart Association.
• 1-2 years of clinical experience.
• Familiar with patient care equipment.
• Adheres to hospital and Florida Nurse Practice Act guidelines in providing patient care.

Nice To Haves

• BSN degree from an accredited school of nursing (required within three years of hire for new hires effective June 14, 2017).
• BSN degree.
• Professional certification.
