Baylor Scott & White The Heart Hospital - Frisco is preparing to open its doors in Spring 2027, and we are assembling an elite team of cardiovascular professionals who want more than a job—they want to help define the future of heart care in one of the nation’s fastest growing regions. As a new team member, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping a new, state of the art heart hospital designed with one purpose in mind: delivering world class, patient entered cardiovascular care. In anticipation of our opening, select roles will begin as early as Summer 2026, allowing you to complete comprehensive orientation and training at our nationally recognized Baylor Scott & White Heart Hospitals. This immersive experience ensures you are fully prepared, aligned with our culture, and equipped with the highest standards of clinical excellence before the Frisco campus opens.

Requirements

  • Completed an established program in Nursing.
  • At least (2) two years in the field.
  • Registered Nurse License.
  • Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of being hired.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 3–5 years of RN experience in an acute care cardiovascular environment (PACU, CVICU, Cardiac Step-Down/PCU, Cath Lab, EP Lab)
  • Minimum 1 year charge nurse or team lead experience in a cardiovascular or procedural recovery environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees patient care, follows nursing regulations, and fulfills the organization's priorities.
  • Enhances responsibility to promote the mission.
  • Evaluates patients, identifying nursing diagnoses, creating personalized care plans, and assessing patient responses.
  • Utilizes nursing judgment and reasoning to make precise health assessments, ensuring these assessments align with standard practices.
  • Checks nursing procedures and uses research to make changes.
  • Demonstrates caring practices by addressing both emotional and physical discomfort, aiming to foster healing and prevent excess distress.
