About The Position
The Staff Pad has partnered with a respected healthcare organization in Russellville, AL and we are seeking a dependable and experienced RN Charge Nurse to provide leadership during assigned shifts, ensure effective team coordination, support staffing needs, implement hospital policies, and serve as a key resource for staff. This role collaborates with leadership (Directors, Nurse Mangers, Unit Managers) and internal departments to resolve operational issues and ensure high-quality patient care. Schedule: Full-Time | PRN (Nights)
Requirements
- Current Alabama RN license; BSN preferred
- Must complete Hospital-based ACLS and PALS within one year of employment
- Proven experience in a charge nurse or leadership role within a healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of triage protocols and urgent care procedures
- Experience with case management and outpatient services is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and staff
Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing staff and coordinate patient care activities
- Conduct triage assessments to prioritize patient needs effectively
- Administer tube feeding and manage patients' nutritional needs as required
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all patients
- Provide urgent care services and respond to emergency situations promptly
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive case management plans
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and health management strategies
- Facilitate patient care by resolving interdepartmental issues
