Join a new, specialized area of oncology nursing at the forefront of advanced cancer care. The Cellular Therapeutics Unit is a rapidly growing specialty focused on innovative treatments that use a patient’s own cells or specially prepared cells as part of their care. Nurses in this specialty provide complex clinical care throughout the treatment process, including preparation, administration, and monitoring of highly advanced therapies. The unit also focuses on bispecific therapies, including ready-to-administer treatments designed to target a patient’s immune T-cells and cancer cells. These emerging treatments are used for patients with blood cancers and other oncology diagnoses, as well as other complex diseases as new therapies continue to expand. Nurses bring specialized knowledge and expertise while providing education, support, and compassionate care throughout each patient’s treatment journey. The role also offers the opportunity to build meaningful, long-term relationships with patients and families while being part of a cutting-edge area of oncology nursing.
