About The Position
The registered nurse is a professional caregiver who specializes in assisting with invasive cardiac procedures and other procedures performed in the Cardiac Cath Lab. The Registered Nurse assumes responsibility / accountability for patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via the nursing process, environment / instrumentation and other health care team members.
Requirements
- One year (1) critical care staff experience required or previous Cath Lab/Special Procedures experience required.
- Clinical nursing skills.
- Teaching/instructional skills.
- Empathy and understanding.
- Safety conscious.
- Clerical accuracy.
- Astute to patient conditions/changes/reactions.
- Current PA Registered Nurse license.
- BLS and ACLS required and must be completed by end of orientation period.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with invasive cardiac procedures and other procedures performed in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
- Assuming responsibility/accountability for patients for a designated time frame.
- Providing care to patients via the nursing process, environment/instrumentation, and other healthcare team members.
