About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Registered Nurse (RN) Cath Lab & Interventional Radiology Manager to provide operational and clinical leadership for a fast-paced procedural services department. This position will work closely with senior clinical leadership, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to grow and improve cardiovascular and interventional services. The ideal candidate is a visible, hands-on leader who is comfortable managing around-the-clock staffing, leading through change, developing high-performing teams, and identifying opportunities to improve patient care, efficiency, quality, and overall departmental performance. The successful candidate should be prepared to lead by example and actively engage with the team and daily operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure or eligibility for licensure in the applicable state.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or higher-level leadership experience.
  • Previous Cath Lab and/or Neuro Interventional Radiology (Neuro IR) experience required.
  • Experience working in a high-volume procedural environment.
  • Strong understanding of cardiovascular and interventional procedural workflows.
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIHSS

Nice To Haves

  • Leadership experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Interventional Radiology, Neuro IR, or similar procedural services environment.
  • Master's degree in Nursing or a related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated success leading operational improvements and quality initiatives.
  • Experience managing departmental budgets, productivity, staffing, and performance metrics.
  • Knowledge of cardiovascular and interventional procedures.
  • Familiarity with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience leading teams through organizational or operational change.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology services.
  • Partner with physicians, clinical leaders, and multidisciplinary teams to expand procedural services.
  • Develop and implement strategies that support cardiovascular and interventional service-line growth.
  • Build a positive, accountable, collaborative, and high-performing team culture.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop staff through servant leadership and professional development.
  • Lead staffing and scheduling strategies to ensure appropriate coverage, including 24/7 operational needs.
  • Monitor staffing levels, productivity, departmental performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, patient throughput, quality, and financial performance.
  • Challenge outdated processes and implement innovative solutions and best practices.
  • Promote patient safety and consistently uphold clinical and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable accreditation requirements, healthcare regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Develop strong working relationships with physicians and support procedural growth.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and monitor key departmental performance metrics.
  • Assist with budget management and responsible allocation of departmental resources.
  • Support the adoption of new technologies, procedures, and evidence-based practices.
  • Address operational challenges and make timely, informed decisions.
  • Foster open communication and collaboration among nursing staff, physicians, technicians, and leadership.
  • Lead effectively during periods of change while maintaining staff engagement and patient-care standards.
  • Serve as a visible leader who is willing to step into clinical and operational challenges when needed.
