This is a Part-time Day position for an RN at Carolinas Rehabilitation Mt. Holly, working 24 hours per week. The role involves engaging in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices. The RN will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families throughout the continuum of care. Key responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, adjusting care plans, mobilizing resources, collaborating with the care team, and upholding a culture of safety. The position requires continuous evaluation of patient, team, and unit outcomes, with appropriate action taken as needed. The RN may administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and according to protocols. Effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution are essential for fostering team collaboration and appropriate delegation. The role also emphasizes pursuing professional development, completing required education, and maintaining certifications, while adhering to the ANA Code of Ethics and practicing ethical decision-making. The RN will delegate appropriately to other nursing staff and unlicensed personnel and maintain accurate, timely EHR documentation. Floating to other units or facilities may be required to meet patient care needs. The position requires the ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills for age-appropriate patient care, understanding principles of growth and development across the lifespan and assessing data reflective of patient status and needs.
