Serve as a clinical leader, mentor, and trusted resource for nursing staff while providing direct care for patients with complex acute surgical conditions. Partner with unit leadership on hiring decisions, patient experience initiatives, and quality improvement projects that enhance patient care and team performance. Collaborate with a highly skilled, compassionate team to care for high-acuity patients on our 28-bed Acute Care General Surgery Unit. Provide expert post-operative care for patients recovering from complex abdominal surgeries involving the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, pancreas (including Whipple procedures), gallbladder, and bile ducts. Foster a positive, collaborative work environment that supports professional growth through continuing education, specialty certification, mentorship, and leadership development. Contribute to innovative, evidence-based practice by participating in research studies and implementing the latest therapies to improve patient outcomes.
