About The Position
CentraCare has an incredible opportunity in the Rice Memorial Hospital Cancer Center for a skilled nurse to join their team! The Cancer Center is an outpatient department within the hospital. Responsible for direct/indirect patient care and teaching through the nursing process. The RN Care Coordinator has varied duties including patient education for chemotherapy, obtaining lab results, prescription refills, triage phone calls and other duties related to the overall coordination of care for cancer patients.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current RN licensure in the State of Minnesota.
- AED/CPR training required.
- Acquire Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) cert within 2 years of hire required. This must be maintained throughout employment in department.
- Communication/documentation skills.
- Nursing Assessment skills.
- Comprehensive clinical nursing knowledge, personal management and crisis management.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum one year of experience in field preferred, not required.
