About The Position

Provides disease specific management, a working knowledge of oncology principles, the ability to manage chemotherapy and the side effects, and can monitor and address symptoms. Works with patients and families throughout the course of treatment and beyond to provide an understanding of their disease, their treatment plans, and address patient clinical and psychosocial issues as required. Symptom management calls are made proactively to anticipate needs of patients undergoing treatment and to manage side effects of disease and/or treatment. Care Manager documents assessment and interventions in real time in the electronic medical record. Will collaborate with the oncologist and clinic staff to assist in managing and coordinating patient care. The RN Patient Care Manager will support the mission of the Company and the Care Management department.

Requirements

  • A graduate of an accredited RN Nursing program required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of oncology experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of overall nursing experience required.
  • Prior experience with customer service and professional phone etiquette required.
  • Attention to detail, excellent critical thinking skills, the ability to work independently in a work from home environment, good communication skills, data entry, knowledge of Excel, excellent computer skills while simultaneously functioning in multiple applications.
  • Active RN license in state of employment, OCN preferred.
  • Current CPR certification required.
