RN Cardiovascular ICU FT Nights
About The Position
Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Cardiovascular ICU. This is a Full-Time position working 36 hours per week on the night shift (7pm-7am). The Cardiac ICU RN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for patients from admission to discharge. The RN will function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers. The Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVU) specializes in the care of open-heart surgery patients, utilizing an innovative universal bed concept. The team provides expert cardiac care from pre-operative teaching to open-heart recovery, cardiac ICU care, and discharge teaching. While cardiac surgery patients are the primary focus, the CVU team also cares for general ICU patients, complex cardiology patients, patients requiring cardiac devices such as intra-aortic balloon pumps and Impellas, and patients requiring cooling after cardiac arrest. New Graduate RNs are welcome.
Requirements
- Current Indiana or compact state RN license.
- BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
- ACLS certification (obtained within 12 months of hire).
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification required, within 10 weeks of hire.
