RN Cardiovascular ICU FT Nights
About The Position
Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular ICU at Baptist Health Floyd. This is a Full-Time position (36 Hours Weekly) working Nights (7pm-7am). This role is benefit-eligible and offers a sign-on bonus for experienced external applicants. The Cardiac ICU RN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for patients from admission to discharge, functioning as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers. The Cardiovascular Intensive (CVU) unit specializes in the care of open-heart surgery patients, utilizing an innovative universal bed concept. The team provides expert cardiac care from pre-operative teaching to open-heart recovery, cardiac ICU care, and discharge teaching. While cardiac surgery patients are the primary focus, the CVU team also cares for general ICU patients, complex cardiology patients, patients requiring cardiac devices (intra-aortic balloon pumps and Impellas), and patients requiring cooling after cardiac arrest. New Graduate RNs are welcome.
Requirements
- Current Indiana or compact state RN license.
- BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification required, within 10 weeks of hire.
Nice To Haves
- ACLS certification (obtained within 12 months of hire).
