About The Position

We are currently hiring an RN for our Level 17 Cardiac Unit at St Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, Minnesota. This unit cares for patients with various conditions including post-operative heart surgery, telemetry monitoring, pacemaker, ablations, vasculature issues, A-fib stabilization, arrhythmias, syncope, and chronic heart failure. The role involves organizing and providing patient care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The RN will also act as a team leader, delegating tasks to other nursing personnel based on their qualifications and job descriptions. This position contributes to the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, serving the community and meeting regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Current nursing licensure in Minnesota
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month
ACLS required within the first year

Responsibilities

Organizing and providing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
Acting as a team leader and delegating aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions.
Contributing to meeting the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia.
Meeting the requirements of the Joint Commission as applicable and/or other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.
