You will increase your critical thinking, clinical skills, and confidence in a supportive environment. What You’ll Do: Care for patients with Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), coronary artery disease (CAD), Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA) and other disease processes. Manage continuous infusions including but not limited to: Milrinone, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Insulin. Perform comprehensive patient assessments and respond to clinical changes. Monitor cardiac rhythms. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver high quality care. Gain an understanding of how cardiology interconnects with other body systems. Care for patients requiring oxygen therapy utilizing High Flow Nasal Cannula or BiPAP. Educate patients on heart health, medications, and lifestyle modifications. Gain knowledge of managing post-cardiac interventions such as pacemaker, lifeVest, and automated implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (AICD) placement. Requirements

Licensed Registered Nurse or New Graduate nurse eligible for licensure
Graduate from a nursing program Required
No experience required New Graduates of a nursing program eligible Required
RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License. Required
BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
ACLS Certification - (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date) within 180 Days Required

Responsibilities

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients.
He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability.
The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.
