About The Position
Piedmont Henry Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for their 4 South Cardiac Telemetry unit. This is a 32-bed unit specializing in Cardiac and Pulmonary care, with 24/7 Hospitalist/APP coverage. The nursing staff includes Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, and Patient Care Technicians. Typical nurse to patient ratios are 1:4 or 1:5. The unit manages conditions such as arrhythmias, titratable cardiac drips, Bipap, telemetry monitoring, high-flow oxygen, post-defibrillator/pacemaker care, post-cardiac catheterization care (including TR band management), DKA management, and insulin drips.
Requirements
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
- No experience required (New Graduates of a nursing program eligible)
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS Certification - within 180 Days
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions
Responsibilities
- Provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients.
- Functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability.
- Responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.
