About The Position
Piedmont Henry Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for their 4 South Cardiac Telemetry unit. This unit is a 32-bed Cardiac/Pulmonary Unit staffed with Hospitalists/APPs 24/7, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, and Patient Care Technicians. The typical nurse to patient ratio is 1:4/1:5. The unit specializes in Arrythmia Management, Cardioversion, Pharmacologic Management, Tikosyn Loading, management of titratable Cardiac drips (Amiodarone, Milrinone, Cardizem, Bumex, Heparin, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Lasix, Nitroglycerine), management of Bipap, Telemetry Monitoring, management of High-Flow, management of post intra-cardiac defibrillator and pacemaker placement, Post Cardiac-catherization Care, TR Band Management, DKA management, and management of Glucommander and titratable Insulin drips.
Requirements
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS Certification - within 180 Days (for Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty)

- Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
- 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions
Responsibilities
- Provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients.
- Functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability.
- Responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.
