About The Position

Fairview is looking for a Cardiovascular RN at St. John’s Hospital in Maplewood, MN. This is a 0.6 FTE (48 hours per 2 weeks) position on the Day/Eve shift, for 8 hour shifts, no weekends. We are committed to providing superior health care to our growing community. Our 184 bed facility offers a wide variety of diagnostic and therapeutic services. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year Intermediate/Cardiac Telemetry Nursing Experience
  • Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
  • MN Registered Nurse (RN) License

Nice To Haves

  • Recent Critical Care Experience
  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing
  • 1 year ICU or CSC experience
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (American Heart Assoc) Some positions may require ACLS depending on the unit and patient population.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.
  • Collaborates with patient, family and other health team members to develop a nursing plan as part of an integrated, comprehensive plan of care
  • Develops an individualized plan based on age, social and cultural considerations, condition and other relevant needs.
  • Evaluates care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes.
  • Collaborates and communicates effectively and respectfully with the patient, family and members of the health care team within and across care settings to promote partnership-based health care
  • Demonstrates the ability to advance care by utilizing standards, guidelines, care pathways and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Promotes a culture of evidence based practice (EBP)
