About The Position
The RN - Cardiac Rehab will provide direct nursing care and clinical monitoring for cardiac rehab patients during exercise and recovery sessions. This role involves assessing patient response to exercise, educating patients on cardiac health, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support individualized patient care plans. Accurate documentation and communication are essential for tracking treatment plans and patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Prefer at least one year of experience as a staff nurse
- IL RN nursing license
- CPR – BLS issued by the American Heart Association
- CPR - ACLS within six months of hire

- Cardiac rehab experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care and clinical monitoring for cardiac rehab patients during exercise and recovery sessions
- Assess patient response to exercise, including vital signs, telemetry rhythms, symptoms, and overall tolerance
- Educate patients on cardiac health, medications, risk factor reduction, diet, and lifestyle modifications
- Collaborate with physicians, exercise physiologists, and interdisciplinary team members to support individualized patient care plans
- Maintain accurate documentation, patient records, and communication related to treatment plans, progress, and patient outcomes
