About The Position
The Cath Lab Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care in the catheterization laboratory, responsible for circulating and monitoring cases, as well as procedural sedation. This role involves collaborating closely with the clinical team to ensure patient safety and effective treatment outcomes.
Requirements
- Active Washington State License or Compact License.
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Cath Lab or similar environment with a focus on Structural Heart cases.
Nice To Haves
- Travel experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Circulate and monitor cardiac catheterization cases.
- Administer procedural sedation and perform sedation testing prior to case arrival.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Handle a variety of cases, including STEMI, structural heart interventions (Mitraclip, TAVR, Watchman), PFO, ASD, PCI, IABP insertion, Impella procedure, and ECMO cannulation.
- Participate in weekend buddy call and orientation for new staff.
