RN - Cardiac Cath Lab
About The Position
The Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, providing essential care during procedures. This role involves direct patient care, including circulating duties, administering medications and supplies, and managing patient sedation during procedures. The position is situated in a dynamic environment with three procedure suites, handling an average of 4-5 cases daily. The patient population is diverse, encompassing various cardiovascular and related conditions. The role also requires flexibility for call shifts and potential floating to other areas. New hires will undergo a one-week orientation, including buddy shifts for call coverage. The Cath Lab is equipped to handle a range of procedures, including Interventional Radiology and cardiac interventions like STEMI treatment with IABP support.
Requirements
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a hospital setting, specifically in Cardiac Catheterization and Interventional Radiology
- Proficient in Electronic Medical Records (EMR), specifically with EPIC and Apollo cardiac charting
- Valid driver's license
Nice To Haves
- Compliance with a fingernail policy prohibiting artificial nails in patient care settings
- Floating to other areas may be required as needed
