Requirements

  • Current Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing procedures and medical terminology.
  • Ability to maintain a sterile field and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Competence in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically Cerner and Xper.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a Level I trauma environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced environment.
  • Participate in patient assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Ensure proper handling and management of sterile fields during procedures.
  • Perform necessary clinical procedures including Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes.
  • Assist with various types of patient diagnostics and interventions, including interventional and electrophysiology cases.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide high-quality care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Respond to patient needs and emergencies promptly while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Complete a simulation lab for specific nursing skills, including Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes.
  • Adhere to sterile procedures during simulation lab.
