This is a full-time position with 10-hour shifts at Scripps Memorial La Jolla. The role is bonus eligible. This position supports the Cardiac Cath Lab Department at Scripps La Jolla as a Registered Nurse. The ideal candidate should be flexible and adaptable to the changing needs and tasks of the department. The Prebys Cardiovascular Institute at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla features an advanced cardiac catheterization lab providing 24/7 emergency and elective care. It is the region's largest cardiovascular program, comprising six specialized cath labs, one electrophysiology lab, and a six-bed recovery area, specializing in TAVR, angioplasty, stenting, and structural heart procedures.

Requirements

  • 1 years recent experience as an RN in the Cath Lab, ICU and/or ED
  • Current CA RN License
  • BLS and ACLS for the Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Ability to speak, read, and follow instructions in English
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to demonstrate positive behaviors

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years Cath Lab experience

Responsibilities

  • Monitor patient prior to and after the procedures
  • Administer medications
  • Assist physicians during Cath procedures (both scheduled and emergency) angioplasties, pacemaker implantation and other cardiac procedures
