About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) with a strong background in coronary, structural heart, complex PCI, and peripheral cases. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment providing high-quality patient care. The facility is a Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, Level II Pediatric Trauma, on the Journey to Magnet Status Designation, a Primary Stroke and Chest Pain Center, and a Teaching Hospital with 417 Beds. Patient types include those with coronary artery disease, STEMI, cardiogenic shock, complex total occlusions, diagnostic catheter procedures, valvular disease, renal disease, carotid stenosis, limb salvage, peripheral stenosis, thrombosis disease, Impella insertion, and LVAD insertions. The RN to Patient Ratio is 1:1. Orientation is 4 days with 10-hour shifts. There is a weekend rotation every 4 weekends and an on-call expectation of 1-2 days per week and every 4th weekend. Holidays are possible, one per assignment. The charting system is EPIC (required) and Epic Cupid (preferred). Support on the unit includes a Charge Nurse from Monday-Friday, 0600-1630. Free parking is available, and scrub colors are provided for procedural roles. All nursing positions will rotate between day and night shifts.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification
  • Completion of a nursing education program approved by a Board of Nursing
  • Critical patient assessment skills
  • Vasoactive and sedation drug administration skills
  • Sterile technique proficiency
  • Air management skills
  • Laser and lithotripsy atherectomy skills
  • Cardiac cath lab and peripheral IV skills
  • Experience with IABP, Impella, Rotoblator, and Penumbra devices
  • EPIC charting system experience
