About The Position

Work Schedule: 60% FTE, day/evening shift. Operational hours of the Prep/Recovery Cath Lab/EP Lab are 5:30am to 7:00pm. On-call responsibilities may be required for some weekends and/or holidays with a 60-minute response time. We offer a competitive starting pay; relevant work experience will be considered. We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to: Provide specialized pre- and post-procedure care for adult patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, structural heart, and interventional nephrology procedures in UW Health's nationally recognized Heart & Vascular program. Care for a diverse patient population in a 12-bed prep/recovery unit, utilizing strong intermediate care (IMC) assessment skills while preparing patients for procedures, recovering post-procedure patients, and caring for select higher-acuity patients, including STEMI and TAVR patients requiring extended recovery. Collaborate with an expert multidisciplinary team including interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, anesthesiologists, cardiovascular technologists, and Cath Lab nurses to deliver safe, efficient, patient- and family-centered care. Requirements

Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact Upon Hire Required
Current CPR/BLS Certification Upon Hire Required
ACLS within 6 months Required
Inpatient Units and Central Float (Adult & Pediatric), Venous Access Team (VAT), Radiology, Hemodialysis, Cardiovascular Laboratory: Six (6) months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health’s Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit. Required
eICU: Two (2) years of nursing experience Required
