About The Position

Join Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital, a Magnet Hospital recognized by the American Nurses Credentialing Center for professional nursing practice. The hospital’s Level III Birthing Center cares for patients in labor and delivery and provides treatment to patients with elevated-risk antepartum or postpartum needs. The Registered Nurse delivers care throughout the patient journey, works directly with patients and families, and provides healthcare education as needed. The role is scheduled for nights, 7:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with weekend, on-call, and holiday requirements.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN program).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
• One year of current acute care RN experience or licensed military RN experience.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Labor and delivery (L&D) experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.
