About The Position
Trinity Health Livonia is a full-service, 304-bed acute care hospital located in Livonia, MI, offering comprehensive care including a 24-hour emergency department, general medicine, inpatient and outpatient surgery, physical medicine and rehabilitation, intensive care unit, cancer, cardiology, geriatrics, and birthing and women's health services. The hospital has received numerous awards for excellence in clinical outcomes, patient safety, financial performance, and efficiency. The 5W unit is a 32-bed Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit providing comprehensive care for patients with various psychiatric conditions such as depression, schizophrenia, mood disorders, and psychosis. Treatment is delivered in structured group settings within a therapeutic milieu, promoting engagement and recovery. The unit also provides post-ECT (Electroconvulsive Therapy) care. The Registered Nurse in this role is accountable for the management of patient care during a designated timeframe, coordinating and evaluating care, and teaching and delegating patient activities to other healthcare team members through therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, and the environment. Nurses on this unit play a vital role in promoting mental health, safety, and compassionate care.
Requirements
- Associates degree in Nursing required
- Current RN licensure in the State of Michigan required
- BLS required
- Must be computer proficient
- Must have excellent customer service skills
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred or must agree in writing to obtain a BSN within five years
- Previous medical surgical experience preferred
