About The Position
Trinity Health Livonia is a full-service, 304-bed acute care hospital in Livonia, MI, offering comprehensive care including a 24-hour emergency department, general medicine, surgery, rehabilitation, intensive care, cancer, cardiology, geriatrics, and women's health. The hospital has received numerous awards for clinical outcomes, patient safety, financial performance, and efficiency. This specific role is for the 5W Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit, a 32-bed unit providing comprehensive care for patients with various psychiatric conditions such as depression, schizophrenia, mood disorders, and psychosis. Treatment is delivered in structured group settings within a therapeutic milieu, promoting engagement and recovery. The unit also provides post-ECT (Electroconvulsive Therapy) care. Nurses on this unit are crucial in promoting mental health, safety, and compassionate care. The Registered Nurse is responsible for managing patient care during a designated timeframe, which includes coordinating and evaluating care, teaching, and delegating patient activities to other healthcare team members using therapeutic self, the nursing process, and the environment.
Requirements
- Associates degree in Nursing required
- Current RN licensure in the State of Michigan required
- BLS required
- Must be computer proficient
- Excellent customer service skills
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; or must agree in writing to obtain a BSN within five years
- Previous medical surgical experience preferred
Responsibilities
