A Brief Overview Functions as a member of the Behavioral Health Float Pool, providing specialized behavioral health support wherever needed throughout the Behavioral Health and Wellness Center. This role requires exceptional flexibility, adaptability, and resiliency to effectively transition between patient care areas, support varying staffing needs, and maintain a high standard of care in diverse clinical environments. Acts as a psychiatric resource for the team by providing clinical support, monitoring compliance with system policies, guidelines, documentation, and by maintaining a safe environment for patients with behavioral health needs. Responds to behavioral emergencies throughout the building and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure patient and staff safety. Is knowledgeable of the regulatory standards related to the care of hospitalized patients with behavioral health needs and ensures compliance with those standards.
