Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing is required.
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to use bed-tracking system required.
  • Demonstrated conflict resolution, interpersonal, critical thinking and problem solving skills required.
  • A minimum of five years related clinical experience required.
  • Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Teletracking bed system preferred.
  • Two years experience in a critical care environment preferred.
  • Previous Bed Flow experience preferred.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction to access appropriate placement of all admissions and transfers across the system.
  • Monitor room availability and turnover of beds.
  • Act as a central contact for all bed management decisions.
  • Coordinate bed flow meetings as needed and implement tools to enable a centralized information base.
  • Work cooperatively with ancillary staff including transport, environmental services, laboratory, radiology, dietary and medical records staff.
  • Ensure patient service is continuous and of high quality.
  • Actively participate in culture related activities and serve as a role model for culture related behaviors such as service standards.
  • Provide a high level customer service and customer satisfaction in the placement of patients within Southcoast.
  • Perform accurate and timely pre-registration intake interview.
