About The Position

This is a full-time (100% FTE) Registered Nurse (RN) position in an Ambulatory Surgery setting. The role involves providing safe, individualized patient care using acquired knowledge and skills in perioperative nursing. The RN will manage the operating room to which they are assigned, working in an outpatient OR that performs procedures on patients of all ages across various surgical specialties including ENT, Cataracts, Pain, Hand, Foot, Ortho (scopes), General, GYN, and Plastic surgery. The position is located at 1 S. Park St. in Madison, WI.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing Required
  • 6 months of relevant clinical experience Required
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state(s) where patients are receiving care or may work as eligible per state licensing regulations Upon Hire Required
  • Basic Life Support/CPR Upon Hire Required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months Required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred
  • Recent relevant Operating Room experience Preferred - prefer candidates with 1 year of OR experience.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize acquired knowledge and skills related to perioperative nursing care, procedures, and equipment in order to provide safe, individualized patient care.
  • Assume the overall responsibility for management of the operating room to which he/she is assigned.
  • Be part of an outpatient OR setting that performs procedures on patients of all ages and for many types of surgeries, including ENT, Cataracts, Pain, Hand, Foot, Ortho (scopes), General, and some GYN. Plastic surgery cases such as breast augmentations, reductions, abdominoplasties, liposuctions, gender mastectomies, etc.
