About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in an Ambulatory Surgery Operating Room at 1 S. Park St. in Madison, WI. The role is 90% FTE, Monday - Friday, with 8-hour shifts scheduled between 6:30am - 5:00pm. There are no weekends, holidays, overnights, or on-call duties required, though hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. The RN will utilize acquired knowledge and skills related to perioperative nursing care, procedures, and equipment to provide safe, individualized patient care. The individual will assume overall responsibility for the management of the operating room to which they are assigned. The outpatient OR setting performs procedures on patients of all ages for various types of surgeries, including ENT, Cataracts, Pain, Hand, Foot, Ortho (scopes), General, and some GYN, as well as plastic surgery cases such as breast augmentations, reductions, abdominoplasties, liposuctions, and gender mastectomies.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing Required
  • 6 months of relevant clinical experience Required
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state(s) where patients are receiving care or may work as eligible per state licensing regulations Upon Hire Required
  • Basic Life Support/CPR Upon Hire Required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months Required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred
  • Recent relevant Operating Room experience Preferred

Responsibilities
