Requirements

  • Current Licensure as an RN in state of MN
  • Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
  • BLS certification
  • 2 years of operating room experience with knowledge of AORN standards
  • Ability to work effectively across departments

Responsibilities

  • Develop and initiate care plan using an outcome based approach ensuring application of age related growth and development principles
  • Coordinate, oversee, deliver, document, and delegate nursing care based on patient assessment/standards of care on an ongoing basis
  • Direct, evaluate, and supervise the work of assistive personnel in providing delegated nursing services
  • Collaborates with operating team, patients and family members to determine vital resources and provide continuity of patient care
  • Communicate pertinent patient data to other members of the health care team in a timely fashion
  • Provides patient/employee education based on assessment of learning needs of learner
