About The Position

Join our dedicated team of infusion nurses at Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Center, where we serve patients across three floors as well as the only nurse-led lab at Cleveland Clinic. With 90 rooms, our nurses deliver a range of infusion treatments including chemo, blood, platelets, and plasma—making your skillset highly transferable across nursing specialties. This role offers excellent work-life balance, with the flexibility to choose between eight-hour or ten-hour shifts to fit your schedule. Nurses enjoy no night shifts and do not float to other areas, ensuring stability within the unit. Weekend shifts are minimal, rotating among the team and occurring about once a month (7:30am–12:00pm). Additionally, you will never work holidays, allowing you to prioritize time and personal commitments. A caregiver in this position works Days and has the flexibility to work eight-hour or ten-hour shifts. No Holidays. No nights. No float.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
One year of recent experience as an RN
Will consider LPN, Medical Assistant and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience in substitution of RN experience if applicant is a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in an ambulatory setting transferring into an RN role but remaining in the same current ambulatory Cleveland Clinic setting OR a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in a clinical role within the same specialty area transferring into an ambulatory area.

Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.
Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage and establish care plans.
Administer medications and treatments.
Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.
Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings.
Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures and specialized patient care equipment.
Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families.
Cover other nursing roles within the department.
Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures, as needed.
