About The Position

Gundersen Health System is hiring a Registered Nurse for Acute Care (Med/Surg and ED) in Wabasha, Minnesota. The role is 0.75 FTE, or 30 hours per week, and involves 12-hour shifts on a combination of day and night rotations. The schedule includes every third weekend and holiday.

The RN focuses on the health and wellness of individuals, families, and populations in collaboration with other health care professionals. The nurse uses evidence-based practice and the nursing process to manage acute illness, chronic disease, disability, and end-of-life care, aligning practice with organizational policies, professional nursing standards, and regulatory practice acts. The RN works with providers, medical professionals, and managers to support patients’ health journeys.

Requirements

• Minimum of an Associate degree in Nursing.
• RN licensure to practice in Minnesota upon hire.
• Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities
