About The Position
Gundersen Health System is hiring a Registered Nurse for Acute Care (Med/Surg and ED) in Wabasha, Minnesota. The RN focuses on the health and wellness of individuals, families, and populations in collaboration with other health care professionals, using evidence-based practice to manage acute illness, chronic disease, disability, and end-of-life care. The RN uses the nursing process and aligns practice with organizational policies, professional nursing standards, and regulatory practice acts. This position is 0.75 FTE, or 30 hours per week, with 12-hour shifts on a combination of day and night rotations. The schedule includes every third weekend and holiday.
Requirements
- Minimum of an Associate degree in Nursing.
- RN licensure to practice in the state of Minnesota upon hire.
- Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients.

- Use evidence-based practice in the management of acute illness, chronic disease, disability, and end-of-life care.
- Apply the nursing process and align practice with organizational policies, professional nursing standards, and regulatory practice acts.
- Partner with providers, medical professionals, and managers to support patients in their health journeys.
