About The Position

This full-time Registered Nurse position provides acute care on a night schedule, varying as scheduled, for 72 hours per pay period at 0.9 FTE. The RN conducts individualized and ongoing patient assessments, prioritizes and reprioritizes care based on patient needs and applicable policies or protocols, and develops individualized plans of care in collaboration with the healthcare team. The role includes carrying out physician-ordered treatments, providing therapeutic nursing interventions and patient/family education, documenting findings and responses to care, and initiating emergency resuscitation measures according to standard protocols. The RN maintains patient and family confidentiality; provides nonjudgmental, nondiscriminatory care that respects diversity, autonomy, dignity, and rights; and reports patient condition to appropriate personnel during each shift. The role requires maintaining current competency in pediatric, medical, and postoperative care. The pay range is $43.09–$79.71.

Requirements

Valid, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Washington State.
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
At least one year of adult medical/surgical experience within the past two years.
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
ACLS and PALS certifications within six months of hire.
Ability to provide clinical reasoning, decision-making, and critical thinking.
Ability to promote compassion and a therapeutic environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with staff, patients, and families.
Ability to maintain quality working relationships with peers.
Strong computer skills.
Two years of acute care experience.

Nice To Haves

Critical care experience.
NRP certification.

Responsibilities

Conduct individualized patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on immediate condition or needs and applicable timeframes.
Perform ongoing assessments and reprioritize care according to the patient’s condition and facility policies, procedures, or protocols.
Develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with other healthcare team members.
Perform physician-ordered treatments accurately and in a timely manner.
Provide therapeutic nursing interventions according to the individualized plan of care for the patient and family.
Provide individualized patient and family education.
Document assessment findings, physical and psychosocial responses to interventions, and progress toward problem resolution.
Initiate emergency resuscitative measures according to standard protocols.
Maintain confidentiality regarding patients, families, and facility staff.
Provide nonjudgmental, nondiscriminatory care sensitive to patient and family diversity and respectful of autonomy, dignity, and rights.
Report patient condition to appropriate personnel during each shift.
Maintain current competency in pediatric, medical, and postoperative patient care.
