About The Position

The RN Acute Care Float Pool position is based at UCHealth Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins and provides direct patient care across specialty acute care (Med-Surg) units with moderate to high patient acuity. The role uses the nursing process and evidence-based care models, including the AMSN core curriculum and specialty certification standards. The position is onsite, full-time, and scheduled for 72 hours per two-week pay period on night shifts. UCHealth describes a dynamic, multidisciplinary care environment focused on patient wellness, safety, quality, and exceptional outcomes. Nurses practice to the top of their scope, welcome new knowledge in a fast-paced and innovative clinical setting, and may precept people new to healthcare or UCHealth. Pay is $35.29–$54.71 per hour, dependent on relevant experience, plus Float Pool and night-shift differential pay. Full-time night-shift RNs are eligible for a Night Shift Incentive Program payment of $1,600 quarterly ($6,400 annually).

Requirements

State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
At least 6 months of RN nursing experience.
BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, with the card in hand before the start date; the card must remain valid through 60 days after hire. Renewals must be issued by the American Heart Association.
Graduation from an accredited or state board of nursing-approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if the applicant has less than 3 years of experience.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care using the nursing process and practice to the top of scope.
