About The Position
The Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation is seeking an RN 2 to provide competent direct patient care based on established standards. This role contributes to unit activities, supports the enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level, and assists peers in patient care services. The position offers an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities. The department provides high-quality medical care for complex disabling injuries and illnesses with 6 PM&R physicians, a multidisciplinary team including therapists and clinical technicians, and offers rehabilitation through the lifespan from pediatrics to geriatrics. Patients and families have seamless access to services through dedicated staff at state-of-the-art facilities.

Responsibilities
- Provision of competent direct patient care based on established standards.
- Contribution to unit activities.
- Support enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level.
- Support peers in the delivery of patient care services.
- Assume an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.
- Direct patient care, including participation in procedures such as ultrasound guided injections/botox injections.
- Telephone management.
- Patient triage.
- Coordination of care.
