About The Position

The URMC Strong Glide Team is seeking an RN 2, Inpatient to join their community, embodying the University of Rochester's commitment to Meliora - Ever Better. This role is accountable for providing competent direct patient care based on established standards, contributing to unit activities, and supporting the enhancement of the care delivery system. The position also involves supporting peers, and may include expanded roles such as charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities. This team offers a unique opportunity for diverse clinical exposure across various departments including Oncology, Peri-op, Cardiac, Thoracic, Acute Medicine, Surgical specialty units, Acute Rehab, Psychiatry, and Progressive care. The Glide team nurse will play a role in unit expansion and opening, with opportunities for clinical ladder advancement, charge duties, and precepting. Assignments can vary based on experience, with the ability to work on a single unit or multiple units. Individuals must be creative, flexible, motivated, and possess excellent communication skills.

Requirements

• 2 years acute care experience required
• BSN required

Responsibilities

• Accountable for provision of competent direct patient care based on established standards.
